I went back to bed when I heard the rain this morning. My first free day in what feels like weeks, ruined by the sound of torrential downpour. My plans to hit the streets hard and take pictures in ruins. Looking up at the southern cross system on the ceiling I decided to suck it up and get dressed. After all, there is no such thing as bad weather, just poor clothing!

Jumpers, long sleeved tops, water proof trousers, ran jacket and rain jacket. I was ready and boy did it rain as I left. Bolting to the tram to take me to the city. The rain would provide me with a good opportunity to carry on with my reflection theme. I managed to get a few shots I liked before deciding to look at them better in the dry (okay to get a coffee). By the time I’d finished my coffee, tweaked a couple for black and white and listened to some David Bowie I was stunned to see the sun had appeared. Suddenly my end of days, wet weather attire looked completely ridiculous. I am sure I even saw someone mocking me in some board shorts and thongs as he crossed the road by Flinders Street Station.

I returned to my spot earlier in the day and took another shot of Flinders Street Station. You really couldn’t make it up!

Enjoy x
